Government spending goes ballistic…

In the last year, the US federal budget deficit has grown from roughly $450 billion in 2008 to more than $485 billion in the first fiscal quarter of 2009. With and a new president and more spending initiatives, this will continue to grow.

What impact will this have both short-term and long-term on the US economy?
